Purpose

The Architecture Addendums™ form the official clarification layer for the SAFECHAIN™ Foundational Architecture Index™.

They exist to record:

  • architecture updates;

  • framework alignment decisions;

  • terminology clarifications;

  • superseded-term corrections;

  • methodology bridges;

  • sector framework expansion;

  • Register alignment decisions.

The Addendums do not replace the Foundational Architecture Index™.

They support it.

Addendum Function

Each Architecture Addendum™ should answer one of four questions:

  1. What has been clarified?

  2. What has been corrected?

  3. What has been expanded?

  4. What has been aligned to the Register?

Addendum Categories

Addendum I — Architecture Alignment

Clarifies how new or existing frameworks sit within the Foundational Architecture Index™.

Addendum II — Methodology Bridge™

Explains how the architecture becomes operational.

Addendum III — Terminology Governance

Records superseded terms, corrected names and approved terminology.

Addendum IV — Sector Framework Alignment

Maps sector frameworks to the canonical architecture.

Addendum V — Register Integrity Notes

Records corrections, conflicts and architecture governance decisions.

Register Authority Principle™

All Addendums must comply with the SAFECHAIN™ Master Publication Register.

Where conflict exists between an Addendum and the Register, the Register position prevails.

Publication Rule

No Architecture Addendum™ should introduce a new framework unless it clearly states:

  • whether the term is active, proposed, historical or superseded;

  • where it sits in the Foundational Architecture Index™;

  • whether it is already recorded in the Register;

  • whether it modifies any existing framework.
