Framework Purpose

The Voluntary Sector Institutional Memory Framework™ establishes a governance architecture for preserving, managing and transferring critical knowledge, safeguarding intelligence, lived experience, organisational learning and service history within voluntary sector organisations.

The framework recognises that charities and community organisations often hold essential continuity information about individuals, communities and patterns of harm, but this knowledge can be lost through staff turnover, fragmented systems, inconsistent recording practices or organisational change.
