Unmasking Justice: How I Survived the System and Built One That Couldn’t Ignore Me was born from lived experience — from navigating systems that often felt fragmented, overwhelming and emotionally exhausting while trying to survive, protect dignity and rebuild a life from the ground up.
On 30 October 2026, the official launch of Unmasking Justice will take place during the UNMASKING JUSTICE — Masquerade Gala at Lainston House Hotel.
The evening is not about revenge.
It is not about spectacle.
And it is not about revisiting pain for the sake of pain.
It is about transformation.
The book explores themes of:
coercive control,
institutional fragmentation,
economic abuse,
procedural inequality,
survival,
rebuilding,
and the search for justice within systems that can sometimes struggle to communicate effectively with one another.
At its core, Unmasking Justice asks difficult but necessary questions:
What happens when truth becomes fragmented across institutions?
What happens when safeguarding depends entirely on a survivor’s ability to carry impossible emotional and procedural burdens?
And what happens when pain is transformed into policy, structure and reform?
These questions ultimately led to the creation of SAFECHAIN™ — a proposed safeguarding and forensic infrastructure designed to improve communication between legal, financial and safeguarding systems.
The launch itself carries profound emotional significance.
There are places in life connected to chapters we once believed would define us forever. Places tied to memories, expectations, grief or silence. Returning to such a place years later — not diminished, but rebuilt — becomes something deeply symbolic.
This event represents that moment.
