Ethics Panel (Future Development)

SAFECHAIN™ intends to establish an independent Ethics Panel to support ethical oversight across research, safeguarding frameworks, and institutional implementation.

The Ethics Panel will play a critical role in ensuring that the SAFECHAIN™ model maintains rigorous ethical standards, particularly in relation to trauma-informed safeguarding and survivor engagement.

The panel may include:

• legal ethics specialists
• safeguarding professionals
• trauma psychologists
• medical practitioners
• academic researchers
• data protection specialists.

Responsibilities of the Ethics Panel will include:

• reviewing ethical considerations within SAFECHAIN™ research activities
• advising on survivor-centred safeguarding practices
• reviewing ethical implications of technological safeguarding systems
• ensuring compliance with ethical research and data protection standards
• supporting transparent ethical governance.

The Ethics Panel will operate independently to maintain public confidence in the integrity of the SAFECHAIN™ safeguarding framework.
