Silent Screams, Loud Strength is the podcast hosted by Samantha Avril-Andreassen, founder of SAFECHAIN™.

The podcast began during a period of deep personal reflection while navigating the aftermath of domestic abuse and the profound effects of post-traumatic stress.

Many survivors experience trauma not only emotionally, but physically. The body can carry the weight of overwhelming experiences in ways that are difficult to explain.

Recording this podcast became a way of exploring those experiences — understanding the body’s response to trauma, reflecting on resilience, and finding language for the silent realities many survivors live through.

Over time, the podcast evolved into a space where personal reflection, trauma awareness, and systemic insight come together.

From Reflection to Innovation

The reflections shared through the podcast contributed to the ideas that would later shape SAFECHAIN™.

Understanding how trauma affects the body, the mind, and communication helped illuminate the ways in which institutional systems sometimes misinterpret behaviour influenced by trauma.

These insights became part of the thinking behind SAFECHAIN™'s focus on trauma-informed practice and improved safeguarding coordination.

A Voice for Reflection and Healing

The podcast reflects the belief that healing often begins when experiences that once felt unspeakable are given language.

Through storytelling, reflection, and conversation, Silent Screams, Loud Strength seeks to offer a voice for experiences that are too often dismissed, misunderstood, or unheard.

It is both a personal exploration and a wider invitation to understand trauma with greater compassion and awareness.

Documentary

(In Development)

Working Title: Somebody

SAFECHAIN™ is currently developing a documentary exploring the lived realities of trauma, institutional fragmentation, and the human journey behind safeguarding reform.

The film reflects on the experiences that shaped the SAFECHAIN™ initiative, examining how personal stories intersect with legal systems, institutional responses, and the broader question of how safeguarding structures can evolve.

The documentary will combine personal narrative, reflective insight, and conversations about trauma-informed systems.

Further details will be released as production progresses.
